Our Arts and Environment team is responsible for the beautification of the entry and worship spaces. The rich history of Liturgical Seasons is enhanced with themes relative to the Church calendar.
The Church Year begins around December 1st with the Advent Season. And, beginning on the eve of Christmas, the Christmas Season, while short lived is an important span of the Church year.
"Ordinary Time" means, the weeks are counted by the Ordinal numbers. Ordinary Time starts after the Epiphany and extends, at the earliest to mid-February when Ash Wednesday signifies the beginning of Lent. The Lenten Season culminates with Palm Sunday, usually late March or early April. Holy Week and the somewhat lengthy Easter Season follow.
The Easter season ends with Pentecost Sunday and then the Church year continues with the remainder of Ordinary time.
Each season has its own decorating needs and our team beautifully changes the environment and color schemes to reflect each season.
